Delete your data
You can delete some Pantry Scale data and keep the account.
- Open a recipe, then Edit, then Delete recipe. That removes the recipe, its photo, and its place on the meal plan.
- On Nutrition, open a logged food and tap Remove. That removes it from your log. Your other foods stay.
- On Shop, tap Remove on one line, or Remove all. That clears the shopping list only.
- On Plan, tap Remove on a meal. That takes it off the plan. The recipe stays in your cookbook.
To delete the whole account, open Settings, then Delete account. That removes the account, email, recipes, photos, meal plan, shopping list, and nutrition log saved to that sign-in. A household you created is closed. Someone else’s own nutrition log is not deleted.
Deleting the account does not cancel Premium. Cancel that in the Google Play subscription settings. Play may keep the purchase record under Google’s own rules. A crash note already sent to support may be kept so the error can be fixed. It does not include your recipes.
You can also email support@pantryscale.com from the account address and ask for the account to be deleted. We delete it when we can match the request to that account.
Pantry Scale stores the recipes, meal plan, and shopping list you add. If you are not signed in, they are not kept after you close the app. Sign in with email or with Google. Google sign-in uses that Google account's email. If that email already has a Pantry Scale account, it opens the same kitchen. If you are signed in, the last time you opened the app is saved. The account owner can see that time. People who skip sign-in are not listed. A password is stored only as a hash. We do not get your Google password.
A photo is used only when you choose one. A careful read sends that photo, page, file, or a TikTok, Reel, or YouTube you chose to Google so it can be turned into a recipe. Google Play takes the payment for Premium. We do not see your card.
Plain-food numbers come from the USDA food table, the Canadian Nutrient File from Health Canada, and the UK McCance and Widdowson food table. If a brand is not already in the app, the food name you typed is sent to the USDA branded food list so the package label can be shown. That search is not tied to your name. The numbers are estimates, not a lab test of your meal.
People in a household you join can see the shared recipes, plan, and shopping list. Each person’s nutrition log stays on their own account.
We do not sell personal information or use it for ads. The account email and whether the plan is paid can be seen in order to run the service. That does not open someone else’s recipes.
If the app hits an error, a short note is emailed to support so it can be fixed. That note is the page, the error text, and the account email when you are signed in. It does not include your recipes.
The app is not for children under 13.
